Guidehouse is seeking a senior consultant with outreach and event planning experience to support a Department of Defense (DoD) contract to provide logistical and administrative services supporting working groups, meetings, conferences, planning sessions, workforce development (training) and similar requirements. This role includes conducting venue research and coordinating contracting, negotiating, and securing event-specific contracting services with vendors, managing attendee and speaker registration, providing virtual platform, in-person, or hybrid coordination support, supporting notetaking, development reports, and the developing and facilitating training events. What You Will Do:

This role includes conducting venue research and coordinating contracting, negotiating, and securing event-specific contracting services with vendors, managing attendee and speaker registration, providing virtual platform, in-person, or hybrid coordination support, supporting notetaking, development reports, and the developing and facilitating training events. The role includes the following:
Professional Event/Meeting Planning and Logistical Support:
- Provide logistical and administrative services supporting working groups, meetings, conferences, planning and similar requirements.
- Provide logistical support to special assemblies and events to include reviewing proposals.
- Provide review and negotiation for services (rooms, hospitality and technical support) that support events.
- Develop and organize special assemblies which may require coordination of event materials (training packages, etc.), speakers, specialized accommodations (handicapped, government and or industry VIPs, etc.) for participants.
- Provide on-site event staffing support to include special events and assemblies.
- Research and provide analysis of potential venues for selection by the government.
- Provide support and or secure audio, video projection, lighting, staging, specific equipment/services and administrative support providing specific outcomes.
- Coordinate with contracts team to administer government approved logistical contracts and ensure deliverables (pertaining to the contracts) are received by the government.
- Recommend purchases of equipment or materials to support the success of an event.
- Orchestrate and coordinate with procurement/contracts department to implement payment (government approved) of event-related fees, honorariums, materials, etc.
- Attend and participate in briefings and meetings which may include staff level, academic and professional forums. Analyze issues and results and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations.
- Gather data, develop assessment reports, process diagrams, and recommendations to support government objectives.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Five (5) or more years of professional experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Event planning and/or outreach experience
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Experience supporting DoD clients
- Master's Degree in a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in event planning
- An ACTIVE and CURRENT Secret security clearance
- 5-10+ years of experience consulting for government clients
- Certification in a related field (e.g., event planning, project management, etc.)
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Ability to adapt quickly and respond promptly to new information and changing scope in various environments
- Advanced proficiency with common office software tools (e.g., MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing and redesigning processes to meet evolving business requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and contribute as a team member
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
