Job Overview
The Musician Development Coordinator is responsible for onboarding, training, and discipleship of all Oaks Worship Musicians. They are working with Oaks Church Music Director to prepare services, tracks, and teams for all Sunday/Wednesday/Tier One services. Supporting Next Gen Worship Coordinator in the development of Next Gen band. Musical creation for Oaks Worship originals & special elements. Reports to Worship Director.
Responsibilities + Duties:
- Receive potential Dream Team from Growth Track & guide them through onboarding process.
- Planning & execution of evaluations for musicians
- Planning of Team Nights, Development Nights, & relational connection points (with Music Director)
- Music directing for Oaks Church services
- Planning sets for Sunday/Wednesday/Tier One services
- Building tracks/arrangements for services
- Communication with band for services
- Regular discipleship of band
- Support Worship Director by helping to facilitate Oaks College internship & increasing relational depth with staff team & dream team.
- Oversight of those within scope of authority:
- Oaks College Interns
- Oaks Church musicians
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a related position, preferably hired on a church staff.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in various operating systems such as MAC and PC is required.
- Proficiency in music production software (Ableton Live, Logic, Pro Tools)
- Proficiency in playing a lead instrument (Keys, EG Guitar, Bass, Drums)

- “Serve One and Attend One” at weekly Oaks Church Sunday services.

- Proactive thinking and willing to learn and train others
- Model a Godly life for volunteers
- Be teachable with a humble and submissive attitude
- Maintain all information confidential (about staff, projects, property, members, etc.)
