Who You Are:
You are an entrepreneurial, creative, self-starter that has a passion for architecture and design. You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, are curious and have the vision to develop creative strategies to build the visual aesthetic of the brand. You have a deep knowledge of the retail market and believe that store design is critical to the success of the business.
What You’ll Do: Create schematic designs for all new stores. Coordinate internal review and approval of schematic designs. This typically involves the CEO, President of Retail, Visual and Operations. As required, create sketches and elevations to aid in the review of proposed designs Manage and coordinate with consultants and vendors. They include, but are not limited to, production architects, engineers, renderers, furniture vendors Manage the design development and construction document drawing production phases Ensure consultants maintain schedules and are provided information required to complete drawings Review, redline, and approve all construction documents to ensure drawings are accurate and consistent (especially between the architectural and engineering documents) Review, redline and approve all millwork, storefront, and signage shop drawings Resolve all design related comments from Landlord review to ensure compliance with the store design concept Manage and coordinate the visual department to ensure stores receive all visual/merchandising collateral (includes mannequins, product enhancers, graphics, and artwork) On a continual basis, research and source alternative finish materials, millwork and store design options that will yield cost savings Participate in the collaborative design of new fixtures and store models Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can adversely impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projects
You’ll Need to Have: Architecture or Interior Design Degree 5+ years professional experience. Retail architecture/interiors experience preferred Proficiency in Sketch up + Adobe Suites AutoCAD, Word, and Excel proficiency Ability to work independently with strong initiative on different types of projects simultaneously with aggressive timelines Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task Ability to prioritize and work independently Excellent presentation skills, understands and tailors presentations to the audience Communicates effectively, both verbally and though drawings and sketches Ability to travel
We’d Love to See: Photoshop proficiency preferred Experience in creating 360 store & elevated brand experience Strong understanding with how customers shop and how to communicate brand strategies to customers in new & exciting ways
