About the Opportunity:
The Consumer Experience (CX) org at StubHub is responsible for the end-to-end product experience for fans looking to discover, buy, and sell tickets to their favorite live events through our web and mobile platforms. We're in search of a content design leader who can approach design through the lens of language – ensuring clarity, consistency, and user empathy throughout our product, fostering strong connections with our fans worldwide.

As the first Content Designer for our Push Marketing product team, you will lead content design for email, push messaging, and in-product experience. You'll partner with product, engineering, and design leads to establish a content calendar and content design principles that balance scalability, ad hoc marketing activation, and authentic messaging that resonates with fans. You'll obsess over culture and dive into new fan communities to spin up compelling campaign stories. Beyond your creative instincts, you leverage data to hone your hypotheses and rigorously A/B test ideas to increase engagement and conversion.

In addition to your primary scope, you'll play a key role in our new Content Design team to establish broader content standards, such as copy and brand voice guidelines, quality assurance processes, and team rituals.

This role is suited for someone with a builder mentality who is excited to drive a long-term vision while executing day-to-day copy design to raise the bar from the ground up. If you're passionate about event culture, creative copywriting, and early-stage opportunities – come join our team!

This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

What You'll Do
  • Partner closely with product, design and engineering to develop, test, and iterate on a data-driven content strategy to increase our content's reach and impact.
  • Establish and drive goals that roll up to a long-term vision for channel growth and brand experience.
  • Write creative copy for email, push, and in-product experience, balancing quality and speed. Continuously iterate your copy to A/B test variations.
  • Establish foundational principles, processes, and best practices to improve content quality and scalability.
  • Partner with design and content leads to evolve StubHub's voice and how we flex that voice in our marketing and product content.
  • Exercise product thinking and influence team vision, strategy, and product decisions.
  • Monitor event and culture trends and news to surface new ideas to drive future growth.

What You've Done

  • 5+ years of experience of professional experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing, preferably in a product development environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating breadth and proven writing experience in consumer-facing marketing campaigns and product experiences.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Customer-centric, empathetic and creative. You always build strategies around customer insights, you have a knack for understanding the wants and needs of others, and you're great at generating creative new ideas around those customers.
  • Experience establishing team goals and driving metrics including, open rate, CTR, and conversion.
  • Proven ability to drive long-term vision through customer obsession, data-driven strategy, and cross-functional influence.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub's total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
