We're looking for a talented and creative Product Designer to join our dynamic digital design team. In this role, you'll focus on enhancing the user experience of our complex product configuration tool, making it easy and intuitive for users to order their products online. Your primary goal will be to simplify intricate workflows and ensure design consistency across the configuration tools, allowing users to navigate the process with minimal learning effort. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop engaging designs that effectively drive our product vision forward. As a key contributor to our design strategy, you’ll work with various stakeholders to create innovative solutions that elevate our eCommerce offerings, all while showcasing our commitment to excellence and creativity in the biotech space.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points within the biotech domain.
  • Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs using industry-standard design tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and user-friendly web applications.
  • Iterate designs based on user feedback and usability testing to ensure a high-quality user experience.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in web app design and biotech.
  • Understand the use of design systems and ensure consistency across all web applications.
  • Communicate design concepts and specifications effectively to team members and stakeholders.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively


What You'll Bring to the team:

  • Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a product designer
  • Proven experience as a Product Designer, preferably in a tech or biotech environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing web app designs and user-centered design processes.
  • A desire to strive for excellence in your work until all details are attended to.
  • Experience working independently to explore concepts from beginning to end
  • Proficient in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, FigJam, and other related tools).
  • Basic understanding of modern web stacks and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and general awareness of front- and back-end frameworks and components.
  • The ability to explain your work, process, and decisions and seek feedback to help you produce your best work

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of biotech industry practices and challenges.
