Marketing Coordinator - Columbus Symphony

Primary Function
Assist with day-to-day operations of the Columbus Symphony's marketing department with a primary focus on administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing, Marketing Manager and Patron Engagement Manager. This is an exempt position that reports to the VP of Marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities Managing website updates. Regularly post to community calendars to share symphony events. Manage relationships with community partners including IG influencers, Columbus Metropolitan Library, and local publications such as Macaroni Kids. Coordinate and help manage special events before and after concerts such as wine tastings, toy drives, happy hours, patron events, college club events, autograph signing, and mascot appearances. Serve as onsite photographer and/or coordinate and manage photo shoots and video recordings for upcoming events. Help with setting up and selling merchandise for orchestra or guest artists at concerts. Represent organization at events such as the Arts Festival, college events, hospital events and other community engagement events. Coordinate emcees and photographers at concerts. Assist with ticket distribution to promotional partners. Manage the creative and content for the Bravo program books, ensuring all books are printed and delivered on or before deadlines. Coordinate promotional materials for shows and events. Coordinate and implement in-house signage and marquee copy. Coordinate creation and scheduling of slide and video content for monitors throughout venues, keeping messaging accurate and up to date. Oversee marketing interns and activities to support department. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Teams. Excellent writing and communication skills. Familiarity with CMS, preferably WordPress, and basic HTML website maintenance. Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a day-to-day basis. Adaptability, creativity, working independently and collaboratively. Has a sound understanding of the principles of marketing, branding and PR, with a keen visual sense of design standards. Credentials and Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, arts management, public relations, or related field. 1-2+ years of related experience. Advanced computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite a plus. Photography a plus Video creation and/or graphic design experience or familiarity with Canva a plus. Knowledge of Tessitura ticketing platform a plus. Special Requirements
Must be
available and willing
to work evenings and weekends. Must have reliable transportation. Background check required.
