General Description

Acts as supervisor to technical crew for FloSports volleyball and basketball broadcasts, ensuring the visual story of the game is delivered with professional quality, and ensures all technical aspects are in working order. Responsibilities include conducting gameday technical crew meetings and rehearsals, providing crew training, ensuring all Strong Hall audio, video, and intercom systems are configured for game broadcast, confirming network transmission with FloSports, managing in-game broadcast content including game action, commercial breaks, replays, and interviews, and coordinating with FloSports Broadcast Producer for execution of production content.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preference given to students who have earned a “B” or better in MC 411.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Working knowledge of the technical crew positions required for the FloSports broadcast; ability to manage a crew of up to 14 peer students; ability to operate in a team environment on a deadline basis; understanding of the rules and flow of volleyball and basketball games is preferred.
