Intern-to-Hire Opportunity:

We're in search of a new teammate in the 6HD Studio. We're big on collaboration and pushing each other to perfection when it comes to presenting our ideas to our clients. This works best when we can work together, in a great studio environment.

Our ideal candidate is a designer with Wordpress development experience as well. Other skills and interests in animation, illustration, photography and video production are a plus, so show us what you got! This is a full-time, paid internship with the goal to move into a full-time, permanent position.

The studio space is designed to foster collaboration and inspiration, resulting in multimedia solutions produced on-site in Alexandria, VA.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Creative Studio Intern at Six Half Dozen | Creative Studio in Alexandria, VA. The intern will be involved in day-to-day tasks related to communication and brand strategy, collaborating with our team to develop concepts and designs for print and digital media to meet our clients’ needs.

Qualifications

• A creative mind with excitement for the creative process
• An impressive design & web-based portfolio with a demonstrated design sensibility
• Wordpress development experience
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
• Experience in Figma
• Awareness of UI/UX best practices and how to apply those across design and development
• Branding and writing capabilities
• Strong communication skills (and we mean strong)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Recent graduate from a relevant field such as Graphic Design, Web Development, Communications, or Marketing
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Sense of humor
• Experience with multimedia projects is a plus
