What You’ll do as the Web Developer in the Communications Division:


  1. Oversee Taxation website and perform content updates and redesigns for the Ohio Department of Taxation.
  2. Ensure website meets accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., ADA/ WCAG 2.0 compliance).
  3. Utilize analytic tools to provide website metrics and data to Chief of Communications.
  4. Design graphics to be used across social media, website, internal communications, presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:


36 months training or 36 months experience in electronic graphic design; 12 months experience with hyper-text markup language for website/web page design and/or development.


  1. Or completion of associate core program in graphic visual communication technology or multimedia production technology; 36 months training or 36 months experience in website/web page creation, design and/or development.
  2. Or completion of undergraduate core program in visual communications with emphasis on graphic design/industrial design and/or fine arts; 24 months training or 24 months experience in website/web page creation, design and/or development.
  3. Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
