Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Writer to join the #1 National Cable Morning Show, Fox & Friends, and Fox & Friends First. As the Writer, you’ll write compelling and conversational copy to pull viewers in on a wide variety of topics. The Writer's grammar and news judgment should be solid with a clear comprehension of current events.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with reporters on their scripts and elements
- Create graphics and edit video
- Communicate critical story information with managers
- Pitch story ideas
- Think outside the box to tell a story
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- At least one year of writing and/or television experience
- Exceptional scriptwriting skills, news judgment, and grammar
- Flexibility to work overnight hours
- Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $61,000.00-77,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $50,800.00-64,100.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
