Location : Waltham, MA Reports to : Senior Marketing Manager Job Type : Full-time, M-F some nights and weekends Salary : $55,000 Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team. This role will be responsible for planning, creating, and managing content across our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Strava), and driving engagement within our community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for brand storytelling, engagement strategies, and a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and algorithms. Why Marathon Sports? Develop and execute social media strategy for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Strava. Maintain and update the content calendar to ensure consistent posting across all platforms. Create a minimum of 4 posts weekly and 2 stories daily, aligned with brand values and goals. Produce original content, including photos, videos, graphics, and written copy. Use pillars of community, product, and brand to inform and guide posting strategy. Ensure all content ideas, creation, and editing are managed from start to finish. Community Engagement & Interaction

Engage with the community through unique, topical, and interactive content on a daily basis. Respond to customer comments, questions, and direct messages in a personalized and timely manner. Build relationships with followers, industry influencers, and other brands to foster community loyalty. Ensure brand mentions are acknowledged and engage with user-generated content to enhance brand awareness. Paid Media Management

Own execution of all Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram). Manage both internal Meta ad campaigns and Upper Quadrant’s paid advertising strategies. Optimize ad performance through A/B testing, targeting adjustments, and creative refreshes. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure paid ad efforts align with broader marketing objectives. Event Marketing

Attend events as needed to capture content (photos, videos, etc.) for social platforms. Collaborate with store teams to ensure all event promotions and content are timely and aligned with company goals. Customer Service & Community Interaction

Actively manage all direct messages and customer inquiries across social media platforms. Provide clear, helpful, and personalized responses to customer inquiries regarding products, events, and offerings. Ensure positive and proactive engagement with customers to enhance brand loyalty. Qualifications & Skills:Experience

Experience in social media management or digital marketing, with a focus on content creation, strategy, and engagement. Deep understanding of Facebook, Instagram, and Strava algorithms, trends, and best practices. Experience with paid social media campaigns and Meta Ads. Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and social media management platforms. Ability to quickly adapt to changing trends and platforms while keeping up with industry developments. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Skills

Strong writing and verbal communication skills; ability to create engaging, on-brand content. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness and personal engagement. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace a plus. Experience with photography and video editing tools. Flexible and able to travel to events as needed (across MA, CT, NH, RI). Passion for running, fitness, and community-building is highly preferred. Travel:

This position requires travel across multiple states (Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island) for events, ambassador meetings, and brand partner collaborations. Physical Requirements:
