Title: Senior UX Designer
Location: Northeastern Region (Hybrid: 2-3 Days Onsite)
Description:
The Senior UX Designer will play a key role in creating intuitive, engaging, and user-centered designs for both internal and external platforms in the financial services sector. The role involves wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in design tools, user research, and Agile methodologies to advocate for user needs and contribute to business growth.
Responsibilities:
Interaction Design: Develop interactive design solutions to improve user satisfaction and streamline user journeys.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using Figma, aligning designs with business requirements and user needs.
Visual Design: Ensure consistent and cohesive visual designs that align with brand guidelines and the organization's design system.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to implement design solutions effectively.
Agile Process: Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives. Adapt designs based on feedback and changing requirements.
User Research: Apply user research best practices to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points, and refine designs accordingly.
Design System Management: Maintain and evolve the design system, style guides, and development guidelines.
Presentation: Deliver impactful and concise presentations to team members, stakeholders, and executives to communicate design decisions and strategies.
Collaboration with Development Teams: Work with development and QA teams throughout the design process to ensure successful implementation.
Project Management: Track design stories and collaborate within tools like DevOps to ensure timely delivery with minimal rework.
User Advocacy: Represent the voice of the user throughout the design process, advocating for user-centered solutions and best practices.
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience as a UX Designer in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
5+ years of design experience in the financial services industry.
Expertise in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Strong knowledge of modern design tools and best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design concepts and rationale.
Demonstrable problem-solving skills and creative thinking to address complex design challenges.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design outputs.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute positively to team dynamics.
Desired Skills:
Experience managing or evolving Figma-based design systems and development guides.
Familiarity with project management tools such as DevOps or Kanban boards.
Ability to balance user needs with business goals and push back on poor design decisions.
