Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team. This role will focus on creating, curating, and managing exceptional social media content for our brands, with an emphasis on capturing real-time moments and driving audience engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a proven track record of content creation and social media management. While we have graphic designers and a videographer, you’ll periodically capture organic footage on your phone for reels and provide content that brings our brand to life.
In addition to social media content, you’ll assist with event-related marketing efforts and general marketing tasks. Candidates must be prepared to provide links to social media accounts they’ve managed as part of the application process.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Content Creation and Management:
• Develop and manage content calendars for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Capture authentic, real-time content on your phone for behind-the-scenes stories, reels, and posts.
• Write clear, concise, and engaging copy aligned with the brand voice.
• Collaborate closely with graphic designers and videographer to request and use professional content.
• Monitor and respond to social media engagement to foster community interaction.
Performance Monitoring:
• Track social media performance and create reports to evaluate reach, engagement, and trends.
• Adjust strategies based on analytics to continuously improve performance and audience growth.
Event Marketing Support:
• Assist in planning and executing social media coverage for events, including pre-event promotions, live coverage, and post-event recaps.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure event-related messaging aligns with broader marketing objectives.
General Marketing Support:
• Assist with marketing campaigns, including email communications, website updates, and special projects.
• Work closely with the marketing team to support cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Experience in social media management and content creation.
• Strong storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to create captivating captions and posts.
• Comfortable capturing high-quality photo and video content on your phone.
• Familiarity with social media insights and analytics tools.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook best practices and platform nuances.
• Experience supporting in-person events with real-time social media content.
• Basic knowledge of marketing automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot).
