Position Overview
Join us in the summer of 2025 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking passionate and creative College of Creative Arts Interns who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing artists of all ages. As a College of Creative Arts Intern, you'll play a major role in event coordination and program logistics, while fully immersing yourself in the unique environment that only a summer camp can offer.
What You Get To Do
- Greet and register adult learners at the start of all ICCA programs. This includes: room set up, welcome and manage check-in of participants and instructors, answer questions, give directions, distribute name tags and program materials.
- Provide day-to-day support to help operate the ICCA office. This includes answering the phone, filing, creating, and updating program materials, data entry, copying, and staffing the office.
- Help transport participants throughout campus via golf carts
- Assist in orienting ICCA volunteers.
- Assist in managing and troubleshooting site logistics for each program.
- Promote offerings by adding content to the ICCA web and social media sites.
- Photograph and film ICCA programs in conjunction with the Marketing department.
- Coordinate and manage book and CD sales as they occur during appropriate programs.
- Assist planning and logistics for the fall program season.
- Assist researching and developing ideas for new programs by reviewing participant surveys.
- Assist developing content management tools for ICCA such as administrative spreadsheets, program timelines, etc.

- Availability for one of the following:
- Intern Session I - Monday, June 2, 2025 - Saturday, July 12, 2025 (6 Weeks)
- Intern Session II - Monday, July 7, 2025 - Saturday, August 16, 2025 (6 Weeks)
- Prepared to live in a dorm or nature cabin setting with a roommate. While we offer accessible housing accommodations, please note that due to the rustic nature of our camp, these options are limited.
- Able to work in an outdoor environment for an extended period.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Familiarity with Google Docs and iOS computer systems
- Comfortable with a dynamic work environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Education and/or experience in communications, event planning and/or arts administration
- Background in the arts is preferred

What to Expect about Camp Life
- Rustic Living: You'll be living in a dorm or nature cabin setting, surrounded by the beauty of northern Michigan. Wi-Fi and air conditioning are not provided in the nature cabins, encouraging a true disconnect from the digital world and a deeper connection with nature and those around you.
- Embrace the Outdoors: The camp is nestled in a wilderness area, so expect to encounter wildlife and insects as part of the experience. Embracing the natural environment is key to enjoying your time here.
