Sunrise Telecom is hiring: AutoCAD Designer in Saint Louis

Work Objective:

AutoCAD Designer performs tasks related to the creating and maintaining digital records of a project. From permit applications, cross-sections, roadway profiles and utility layouts using AutoCAD.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineering and construction to create and maintain plan sheets, detail, sections, and profiles.

Collaborate with GIS team to ensure accuracy and cohesion between platforms.

Prepare documentation for various stakeholders of the project, including but not limited to permitting and construction.

Participate in peer review of projects as a quality assurance effort.

Attend quarterly training to maintain and improve technical skills.

Performs related duties as directed.

Required Experience:

Proficient in AutoCAD

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction standards and construction method documents.

Genuine enthusiasm toward learning.

Ability to think analytically and solve problems.

Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet established deadlines, and follow up on assignments with a minimum of direction.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Familiarity with ESRI or similar GIS platform.

Familiarity with Bluebeam PDF markups.

Familiarity with civil design data and utility networks, primarily telecommunications.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Vision to allow prolonged periods of computer work.

Vision to allow differences in colors, shades and brightness.

Must be able to tolerate moderate noise (business office with computers, phones, printers, and light traffic).

Light to moderate lifting is required.
