Job Title: .NET Web Developer -III (HYBRID)

Location: Madison, WI

Duration: 06 Months

Job Description:

There is a need for 2 .Net Web Developer III positions to be filled. These positions will analyze, design, develop, test, implement and maintain solutions and features for applications in Microsoft .NET environment. These positions consists of new development, enhancements and/or providing support for existing applications as determined by project and maintenance priorities. There is an ongoing need. The positions will work with supervisors, project managers, business relationship managers, developers and business customers. To be successful in these positions, the developer will need to take initiative and own tasks or products along with being self-motivated including excellent communications, time management, listening, collaboration, problem solving and adaptability skillsets.

Additional Details:

  • State Government experience would be a plus.
  • Work hours are during business hours between 7:00 5:30pm.
  • Must have reliable internet provided at own expense for working remotely.
  • State holidays are not paid unless part of work agreement.
  • No overtime and no weekend differential.
  • Work on state holidays must be approved.
  • At the end of the contract, the equipment must be returned

Top Skills & 8+Years of Experience:

  • Advanced level application development skillsets including Analysis and Development within Microsoft .Net Framework.
  • Coding experience in .Net framework, MVC including C#, VB.Net, JavaScript and Bootstrap.
  • Experience coding applications in Angular.
  • Experience applying Object Oriented Design.
  • Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications.
  • Experience in SSRS/Power BI for developing reports.
  • Experience creating web API's.
  • Experience developing applications with Oracle backend databases including experience writing stored procedures and SQL.
  • Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including repositories, version control, and deployments.
  • Experience following coding standards and best practices.
  • Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results.
  • Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices.
  • Experience in resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
  • Experience following Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance.
  • Experience understanding defined requirements by identifying and implementing achievable solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including describing technical items to non- technical staff.
  • Experience writing technical documentation.
  • Collaborates and shares information with others and is a team player to ensure project success and business needs are met.
  • Awareness of IT Infrastructure
  • Awareness of Accessibility requirements and custom application design solutions or standards to comply.
  • Ability to meet project timelines
  • Ability to provide input into task estimates

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working at client or in other Government agency.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs.
