General Description:

The Multimedia Producer is responsible for creating and delivering engaging and impactful content across a variety of platforms in both photo and video format. This role involves conceptualizing ideas, producing videos, photos, graphics, animations, and ensuring all multimedia projects are aligned with the organization's brand and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shoot, edit, and produce video content for internal and external purposes including marketing videos, event-specific videos, website videos, and other enterprise-wide projects.
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather content and ensure alignment with overall strategy.
  • Plan all aspects of content creation, including but not limited to conducting on camera interviews, shooting, writing scripts, editing, and creating graphics, as needed.
  • Experience conducting on-camera interviews, including formulating questions and directing subjects for natural, engaging responses.
  • Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
    • Ensure high-quality audio by properly mic'ing interview subjects, monitoring audio levels during production, and maintaining consistent sound quality throughout editing, adhering to professional video standards.
  • Develop content strategies, monitor social trends, and present new ideas that align with marketing goals.
  • Utilize photography and videography that uses a range of equipment.
  • Coordinate social media calendar and content needs
  • Assist with scheduling out content through Meltwater platform.
  • Work alongside VP of Marketing to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Plan video shoots; scout, select shoot locations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in multimedia production and technology.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Film Production, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a Multimedia Producer with portfolio of work.
  • Familiarity with high-end video production equipment, including Sony FX6 and Sony a7IV cameras, Rokinon Xeen cinema lenses, Rokinon AF Cinema lenses, DJI Mic 2 wireless lavalier microphones, and Sony shotgun microphone. Knowledge of LED light kits and backdrop setups (white and green screen) for controlled environments.
  • Strong experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut).
  • Thorough knowledge shooting and editing principles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Creative thinker with strong storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to feedback during all stages of production and post-production, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality photography, including event coverage, professional headshots, and candid moments, using advanced equipment and editing techniques.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting techniques
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in digital asset management, ensuring proper cataloging, storage, and retrieval of multimedia files for efficient project workflows.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Lightroom preferred
  • Ability to work as an individual and as a team to bring projects to life
  • Organized and able to multi-task different deadlines and projects
  • Maritime industry experience is a plus

*Occasional travel may be required for on-location shoots and project coordination.

*A portfolio of both videography and photography is a must be submitted to be considered for this position
