About the Holly Springs Salamanders
The Holly Springs Salamanders are a member of the Coastal Plain League. The CPL is a 15 team Collegiate Summer Baseball League ranging from Virginia to Georgia.
About The Trainee Program
The Holly Springs Salamanders are looking for motivated and dedicated trainees looking to begin or continue their careers in the sports industry. The trainee program is open to college students and recent college graduates. Trainee’s will be required to work all home games and some non-game day events and office requirements. This program is designed to showcase behind-the-scenes of working for a sports organization.
Video & Creative Services Summer Trainee
Timeline: May 7th – August 11th.

- Create and program engaging, fan-friendly content for the Ting Park video board.
- Capture photo and video content before, during, and after games that emphasizes the Salamanders experience.
- Develop engaging content for the Salamanders social media platforms including, but not limited to; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn through photography, video, and graphic design.
- Assist with team-focused social media campaigns and day-to-day activities by promoting team content that will resonate with the audience and drive consumption while maintaining maximum exposure.
- Assist with conceptualizing, planning, and executing original creative design solutions for all in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. This includes, but is not limited to; print, digital, signage, sales and marketing collateral, partner-driven events and initiatives, and in-stadium video board graphics.
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to plan, develop and send appealing, informative, attention-grabbing copy in revenue-generating emails.
- Assist with maintaining the Salamanders website. This includes continually updating content on home page and all sub-pages while enhancing the look, feel, and functionality of the website.
- Manage, organize and maintain “best of” shots for players, events, promotions, mascot, etc. for future marketing purposes.
- Provide support to marketing & promotions, sponsorship and group sales departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Technical Skills:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Digital Media, Video Production, Graphic Design, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, or Illustrator.
Experience and Portfolio:
- Demonstrated experience in video production, editing, and content creation (can include coursework or personal projects).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and their content formats.
- Ability to share a portfolio or examples of prior work showcasing creativity and technical skills.
Technical Knowledge of Sports:
- Familiarity with baseball terminology, gameplay, and fan culture is highly preferred.
- Ability to capture and highlight key moments of a game or event.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required during the baseball season.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and around large crowds.
- Physical ability to carry and set up video or audio equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with sports teams, live events, or in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of motion graphics or 3D animation is a plus.
- Familiarity with sports video equipment, such as cameras, tripods, and lighting setups.

Lifting and Carrying:
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25–50 pounds, including cameras, tripods, lighting, and other gear.
Visual and Auditory Requirements:
- Strong visual acuity to operate cameras, edit videos, and evaluate the quality of recordings.
- Ability to work in noisy environments and hear instructions during live events.
