Utilizing social media, digital, and print media, the Communications and Marketing Specialist will help grow brand awareness and market share, making Howard University College of Pharmacy a nationally and internationally known brand in pharmacy education.SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY: N/ANATURE AND SCOPE: The Communications and Marketing Specialist will lead, develop, execute, and evaluate strategic marketing and communications for Howard University College of Pharmacy.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Design website page and add content for all units at the College.Liaise with relevant vendors to ensure marketing materials are being utilized effectivelyLiaise with relevant College and University departments and offices to ensure brand cohesion and events are highlightedEdit and create content for events, news letters, and special months (i.e. Black History Month, Pharmacist's Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, etc.)Managing the mailing and/or distribution of swag bags to new students and graduating studentsUpdate website with relevant news and programs to ensure it is up to dateProof print, digital, and social materials from vendors and departments and offices in the UniversityManage social media accounts, primarily the LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube accounts, with minimal attention to the Facebook and TikTok accountsCORE COMPETENCIES:Experience utilizing social mediaStrong writing, editing, and proofing skillsExperience with communication technologiesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExperience with content management systemsExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree in Communications, Mass Media, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Business or related field preferred. Two years previous experience required.Compliance Salary Range DisclosureExpected Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
