We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Marketing and Proposal Specialist with extensive experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry for a Colorado based compny. This individual will play a key role in driving business development efforts by leading the creation and development of high-quality, winning proposals and marketing collateral. Expertise in Microsoft Word, specifically at an expert level, is essential for this role, as the position requires the creation of complex, polished documents to support our business development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the proposal process from kick-off to final submission, ensuring compliance with all client requirements and deadlines.
  • Develop compelling proposals, qualifications, and presentations tailored to specific client needs and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical staff, subject matter experts, and leadership teams to gather content and input for proposals.
  • Create and maintain marketing materials, including capability statements, brochures, project sheets, and resumes for key personnel.
  • Edit and proofread proposals and other documents for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Manage the proposal timeline, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Research and analyze client needs and competition to inform proposal strategy and content development.
  • Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns and business development initiatives.
  • Maintain and update the company's project portfolio, case studies, and marketing collateral.
  • Provide support for internal communication and presentation materials for meetings and conferences.
  • Use expert-level proficiency in MS Word to format complex documents, create templates, and leverage advanced features to enhance document quality and efficiency.


  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and proposal development in the A/E/C industry.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, including advanced features such as styles, templates, section breaks, table of contents, and document formatting.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of A/E/C industry terminology, project types, and client expectations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team and interface with senior leadership.
  • Experience with proposal management software (e.g., Deltek, Proposify) is a plus.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the proposal lifecycle, from initial RFQ/RFP response to post-submission follow-up.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while being a team player.
