HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Technical Writer, BaseOps to author and maintain BaseOps technical documentation to support technicians and engineers with managing the company's autonomous vehicle fleet.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to define and obtain the necessary information for the successful delivery of the required service documentation.

As a Technical Writer, you'll:

• Create and update the technical documentation associated with the following:
  • Vehicle operations manuals and mission readiness documentation
  • Vehicle-level inspection, maintenance and repair, and remove/replace procedures
  • Software programming and post-repair bring-up
  • Fleet upgrade and rework procedures
  • Technical service bulletins

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a focus in technical writing
• 2+ years experience as a technical writer or relevant field
• Vehicle technician or autonomous vehicle operator experience
• Proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office Suite
• Experience with topic-based writing concepts
• Markup language experience (e.g., HTML, XML, or DITA XML)
• Strong written and oral communication skills and cross-functional teamwork skills
• Exhibit high attention to detail and safety acumen
• Ability to multi-task and manage workload to achieve project deliverable deadlines
• Self-starter and ability to approach the role with a can-do, team player attitude

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with software used:
  • Oxygen XML (DITA), JIRA, Github, Confluence, Adobe Creative Suite, and CATIA 3DX

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. This role is onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
