Job Summary:

As a Technical Writers you will produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of the security audits. You will work collaboratively with the Security Analysts and Senior Engineers to produce accurate, informative, sensitive reports for our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan writing processes and estimate timelines for completion.
  • Review Client policies against various compliance standards for completeness in meeting stated compliance controls.
  • Review Security Analysts' output and incorporate the results into draft and final reports.
  • Work with Security Analysts, as needed, to interpret assessment data.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, as well as technical detail necessary for someone to remediate any vulnerabilities found.
  • Analyze existing and potential content for ways to improve the final report process.
  • Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding the results of an assessment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and grammatical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.
  • Ability to edit and proofread the work of colleagues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other required software.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field required; OR
  • Three to five years of proven working experience in technical writing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally /or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
