Lightspark is seeking an innovative and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy across key platforms and communities, from Twitter to Meta to Reddit to LinkedIn. You will play a vital role in building and engaging our online community, driving brand awareness, and fostering meaningful connections with our target audience. What you'll be doing:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive earned social media strategy that aligns with our brand voice, target audience, and marketing goals.
- Create engaging and compelling always-on social presence ensuring consistent messaging and brand representation across all platforms.
- Monitor and actively participate in conversations relevant to our industry, engaging with our audience, influencers, and thought leaders to build meaningful relationships.
- Cultivate and grow our social media community, leveraging organic and paid strategies to increase followers, engagement, and brand visibility.
- Proactively research and identify emerging trends, hashtags, and topics of interest to leverage in our content and campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to gather insights and craft compelling social media content that resonates with our audience.
- Develop and execute social media strategies specifically targeting developers, including developers' forums, blogs, and platforms.
- Engage and nurture relationships with developers, addressing their queries, sharing relevant content, and fostering a sense of community.
- Actively participate in developer-focused conversations on platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, Dev.to, and relevant subreddits.
- Engage with Developer Events and Partnerships. Collaborate with event organizers to secure opportunities and sponsorships at relevant developer conferences, hackathons, and meetups.
- Identify and develop partnerships with developer-focused organizations, influencers, and community leaders to expand our reach and enhance developer engagement.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns to drive user acquisition, engagement, and customer loyalty.
- Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, feedback, and inquiries, responding promptly and appropriately to maintain a positive brand reputation.
- Utilize social media management tools and analytics to track and report on key metrics, evaluate the success of campaigns, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, social media best practices, and platform updates to optimize our social media presence and drive innovation.
- Collaborate with the Design team to build creative excellence across Lightspark's marketing assets.
- Create a content calendar to track campaigns, events and milestones.
- Utilize analytics and data to provide regular updates to the team on social efforts and broader brand strategy.
- Manage relationships with creative agencies and contractors.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Additional certifications in social media marketing are a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in social media management, preferably in the FinTech or related industry, with a focus on Twitter, Reddit, and LinkedIn.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, trends, and best practices, with a specific emphasis on Twitter, Reddit, and LinkedIn.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and concise copy that aligns with brand guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience in community management, fostering engagement, and building brand advocacy through social media platforms.
- Proficiency in utilizing social media management tools, scheduling platforms, and analytics to optimize performance and track KPIs.
- Excellent knowledge of the FinTech industry, its key players, and the ability to tailor content and engagement strategies accordingly.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative social media campaigns and initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
