Overview: The Intern will have exposure to Marketing department's operations, policies and procedures and will be assisting/providing support to the Marketing department thus contributing to departmental goals. Specifically, the Intern will be assisting/providing support to the Marketing department's team, which is the primary team responsible for creating compelling, results-oriented content and communications that align with Inovalon's overall strategic plan, audience needs, and corporate messaging.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals and all other aspects of service
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Marketing department's operations and the role of Marketing
  • Develop and create digital marketing content to support and drive results for Inovalon marketing campaigns and corporate initiatives
  • Monitor healthcare industry issues critical to Inovalon customers
  • Edit and proofread marketing communications materials and content as assigned
  • Attend unit, departmental, and corporate meetings as assigned
  • Work collaboratively and develop skills needed to carry out day-to-day work and/or participate in Marketing projects
  • Support current business processes and may assist with implementation of new business processes
  • Develop ad-hoc analysis and reports as needed for specific Marketing strategies
  • Complete miscellaneous assignments as assigned
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be goal-oriented and focused
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, seeks feedback often and is effective in continuous personal and professional development
  • Shows punctuality, professionalism, and a positive attitude when completing assignments
  • Should possess good judgment and decision-making skills
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Education:

  • Course work towards Bachelor's or Master's degree related to the assigned department.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time)
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally, usually for training purposes

Inovalon Offers a Competitive Salary and Benefits Package

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range $17.59—$20 USD
