The Marketing Specialist at Courier Network is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive marketing activities, continual review of current marketing tactics, and identifying potential opportunities. The Marketing Specialist will collaborate cross-functionally with varied departments to execute new and existing marketing plans focused on strengthening the brand, driving engagement and increasing company awareness. The role requires a creative thinker who can translate business objectives into actionable marketing initiatives. The Marketing Specialist will ensure consistent messaging, impactful promotions and successful communication campaigns while building sustainable relationships and partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy:
    • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, Director of Sales, and senior leadership to create short- and long-term marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape and customer preferences.
    • Identify growth opportunities and recommend strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Brand Management:
    • Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that resonates with the target audience and reflects the company’s values and mission accurately.
    • Ensure consistent application of the brand across all marketing collateral, both online and off.
    • Monitor brand perception and take proactive measures to enhance reputation.
  • Promotions and Campaigns:
    • Plan, execute, and oversee promotional campaigns that drive lead generation, customer acquisition and retention.
    • Monitor campaign performance, analyze results and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Communication:
    • Develop clear and concise communication plans for both internal and external audiences.
    • Manage the creation and distribution of press releases, newsletters and other communications aimed at company visibility.
    • Foster relationships with media outlets, industry influences, and partners to amplify the company’s message.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing or a related field, preferably in a managerial role within logistics or related industry
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, including branding, digital marketing, content creation and campaign management
  • Creative thinking with the ability to generate new ideas and innovative approaches
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop viable solutions
  • Advanced technical and documentation skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • History of successful projects
