Title: Marketing Director

Established in 1935, Young Supply Company, a division of Heritage Distribution Holdings, has grown to be Michigan and Northern Ohio’s premier refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, food service equipment, hydronic, and parts wholesaler. We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing Director to join our team. This position will be primarily located at our corporate headquarters in Chesterfield Township and will report to the President.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

This is an integral position for the company and the right candidate will:

  • Be responsible for all aspects of marketing company-wide. This includes preparing and submitting monthly forecasts of upcoming expenses to the President and Controller as well as working within outlined spending parameters.
  • Oversee and/or create all graphic design elements, printed materials, monthly employee newsletter and social media marketing.
  • Work with IT and/or third-party vendors for website management, giveaways, texting software, uniforms, promotions, graphics, signage, in-store marketing, on hold marketing, contests, subscriptions and customer requests.
  • Work with Trainers and Sales Leaders on the training schedule, website and fliers.
  • Work with vendor contacts to plan meetings for major equipment dealers including all aspects of site selection, invites, budget, menus, AV and gifts.
  • Work with Human Resources to plan internal meetings and parties including the annual Christmas Party, retirements or any other company-sponsored events.
  • Work with Accounts Receivable to oversee and/or credit all co-op claims to the customer, promotion rebates and dealer agreements.
  • Work with Accounts Payable to supervise and/or submit all co-op claims to the vendors and utility companies (except for the ones the Purchasing department handles directly).
  • Work with Territory Managers (and occasionally the President) on sports ticket allotment, vendor literature, programs and customer special requests.
  • Work with President and third-party Meeting Planner on rewards travel program including keeping track of “Dealer Points,” sign up, collection of W-9’s and billing unearned points.
  • Work with President on employee and vendor participation and any other upper management related function.
  • Represent Young Supply Company as the Marketing point person for the Key Wholesaler Group Association and Heritage Distribution Holdings.
  • Assist the President as well as the rest of the team with other tasks as they are assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum of 3 years with Marketing related experience
  • Experience with Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Canva, Illustrator or other design software
  • Knowledge of WordPress

  • Heightened attention to detail, design and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to function as a team player, as well as a leader
  • Potential to work with customers, team members and vendors
  • Comfortable being very hands-on with one support person
  • Willingness to travel to Young Supply Company branch locations
  • Willingness to travel to offsite meetings, as necessary
