Description
TrustedSec is seeking a Director level person to lead our cutting-edge marketing efforts. This person should be deeply connected to the information security community, with a proven track record in marketing cybersecurity consulting services—not products. This role requires expertise in crafting and executing campaigns that communicate the value of our consulting services, from penetration testing to incident response, to organizations of all sizes.
As Marketing Director, you’ll oversee the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives, develop targeted campaigns that resonate with the infosec community, and manage a talented team of professionals. You’ll work closely with our technical experts to translate complex security concepts into clear, impactful messaging that drives business growth.
This position is a US-based, remote position open to those who reside within the US and are authorized to work within the US. If you live near our headquarters in Fairlawn, Ohio, you are always welcome to commute to our office to work.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the company's services
- Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including email, social media, and advertising
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency in messaging and branding
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adjust marketing strategies accordingly
- Gather and analyze information to identify new markets and customers, demand for services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies
- Conduct market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of services
- Conduct pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive service pricing
- Manage and motivate a team of marketing professionals to achieve daily objectives and reach business goals
- Communicate any issues with upper management to ensure effective business operations
- Compose, develop, evaluate, and conduct training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies
- Collaborate, participate in, and coordinate promotional activities or trade shows
- Negotiate contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical copywriting and content creation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell services
- Knowledge of marketing automation tools and CRM systems

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- 10+ years experience in marketing, information security, or technical consulting industries
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
- Previous work experience as a team leader or supervisor
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
- Estimated travel: 5%
