What we need
Skanska USA Building Inc. (Skanska) is looking for a full-time Marketing Coordinator II in Portland, Oregon. In this job, you’ll support our overall sales and marketing efforts by taking on responsibilities including but not limited to:

  1. Producing proposals, qualifications, award submittals and presentation materials
  2. Assisting with minor business development efforts
  3. Implementing concepts for and production of collateral materials
  4. Managing local database responsibilities
  5. Managing basic pursuit videos
  6. Interviewing staff to draft resumes and project sheet descriptions

What you bring to the table
We’re looking for someone with:

  1. Three to five years of prior marketing experience in the Architectural, Construction, Engineering (AEC) industry or similar capacity
  2. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline
  3. Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite
  4. The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  6. Ability to adapt to different communication styles
  7. A team-player mindset
  8. A willingness to learn and work above and beyond
  9. Excellent skills in time management, organizing, writing, proofreading and editing
  10. Understanding of the AEC industry and marketing fundamentals
  11. The ability to think outside the box to find solutions to problems
  12. Determination and dependability

A day in the life

  1. Meeting with the Business Development and Marketing team to discuss strategic initiatives
  2. Developing a layout for a proposal in InDesign and inputting information
  3. Interviewing project team members for value-added information to improve proposal response
  4. Updating resumes and project sheets

Good to know
This job is performed in the office and requires frequent sitting (often working on a computer), frequent walking, standing, bending and reaching. Due to computer usage, there may be repetitive motions of the hands and wrists. You must be able to navigate jobsites and are expected to comply with all safety regulations. The work environment is deadline-driven and fast-paced, with projects and pursuits that may require time above and beyond the typical work schedule.
