You will actively design, plan, and conduct fast-paced research studies in a new research laboratory. The role requires technical competence in data collection and processing of biomechanical time series data, such as kinematics, EMG, and force data. You'll work closely with prototypers, engineers, and other researchers to design the computing of the future.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and conduct studies to understand how novel computer experiences impact users.
- Collect and analyze biomechanical and physiological test data to understand the user experience.
- Develop and execute scripts to analyze and interpret time-series data.
- Set up and maintain research laboratory equipment (up to 50 pounds), computer software, and lab supplies.
- Document, synthesize, and present data.
- Conduct literature reviews for self-education and to educate others.
- Integrate and synchronize research equipment with new technologies.
- Ensure participant safety and comfort during research studies.
