Basic Description:
Our small, but well-equipped Art Department is looking for a dynamic, creative, dedicated, detail-oriented, self-starting graphic designer to spearhead the development of innovative graphic and photographic content. Responsibilities include creating product packaging, catalogs, online graphics, product photographs, and other visually stunning promotional materials. You will create content that build and support our growing brands and product both in-store, online, at tradeshows, and throughout social media.
Job Responsibilities:
Envision and create product packaging, user guides, product labeling, and in-store displays that inspire and inform customers.
Produce a wide-range of marketing collateral including, print advertisements, branding assets, website graphics, social media content, infographics, sales presentations, and other static and motion content that support evolving business objectives and marketing goals.
Lead and participate in creative kick-offs and contribute ideas for design concepts, leveraging your experience and understanding of design principles to create impactful and effective creative assets.
Design signage, banners, displays, and other graphic elements that support our tradeshow booths.
Maintain brand consistency throughout all projects, ensuring adherence to established style guidelines and standards.
Perform regular retouching and editing tasks, such as cropping, resizing, retouching, and color adjustments, to enhance the visual appeal of designs.
Apply advanced design techniques, typography, and color theory to create aesthetically pleasing layouts that effectively communicate the intended message and engage the target audience.
Stay updated with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to the team.
Assist with product photography and video production.
Ensure that all project tasks and asset deliverables are completed to specification, pixel-perfect, and on-time.
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, OR equivalent art portfolio.
5-7 years professional experience in a lead graphic design role or related position.
Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Working knowledge of HTML & CSS and Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
Expert skills in image retouching and editing.
A keen attention to detail, and a desire to continually collaborate, create, develop, and grow creative initiatives within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
An exception online portfolio or samples of work showcasing an excellent eye for graphic design and/or photography (including color, layout, and typography) and strategic thinking.
A well-timed professional tenacity and creative conviction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in 3D modeling, sketching, or illustration.
Skills in digital video production or video editing.
Benefits
Pay range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
This is a full-time position that reports daily to our Westlake Village, CA headquarters.
