Summary:
The main function of a UX/UI Developer is to develop, create, and modify user interfaces through and understanding of end-user needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Engages with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications
Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required: 2 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: no degree is required to be eligible for this role. Having an Interaction design major is a plus.
Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain a portfolio with at least 3 projects available for review. Previous Microsoft experience is preferred. Real-life working experience collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and UX Researchers. Specifically UX work; web design, with less emphasis on mobile, and designing for complex enterprise scenarios.
Top 3 MUST HAVE Skills:
Min 2+ years of experience creating UX designs in Figma.
Min 2+ years of experience collaborating with product owners and engineers.
Min 2 years experience with interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Job Details:
Purpose of the Team: The purpose of the Azure Quota and Capacity team is to design user experiences for the Azure portal, specifically focusing on the quota space.
Key projects: This role will contribute to creating user experiences for the Azure portal, gathering feature requirements, designing in Figma, and collaborating with user researchers
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:
30% Meeting Time (ex: Team meetings, meeting with stakeholders to discuss feature requirements, hosting design reviews with stakeholders)
50% Designing (ex: Working in Figma / FIgjam to create mocks)
20% Heads down (ex: Reviewing feature specs from the stakeholders, learning about the domain areas, reviewing feedback and addressing them)
Skills:
Experience in software design and development
Experience in professional UI development
Experience with data-driven UI development
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00
