Job Duties: Prepare and prosecute patent applications related to product design and user interface technologies. Collaborate with clients to identify and develop patentable inventions. Conduct thorough patentability analyses and advise clients on potential patent strategies. Support patent litigation efforts by providing technical expertise on relevant technologies. Perform freedom-to-operate analyses and due diligence for corporate transactions. Draft detailed patent applications and respond to office actions issued by the USPTO. Research and stay updated on advancements in software, AI, IoT, and quantum technologies. Work closely with engineering teams and inventors to translate technical innovations into legal protections. Review technical documents and ensure patent claims are aligned with industry standards. Advise clients on strategies to protect intellectual property portfolios and manage patent-related risks. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the patent prosecution team. Requirements: 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience, specifically in product design and user interface technologies. Strong background in one or more of the following areas: Software-related technologies Artificial intelligence-related technologies Internet of Things (IoT), networking, and related technologies Quantum technologies Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Solid understanding of U.S. and international patent laws. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and teamwork. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Education and Certifications: Bachelor or advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
