Position Overview Saylor seeks a visionary, creative-obsessed Associate Creative Director to join the Creative department. This role will partner internally with the Executive Creative Director, Creative Director - Editorial, Art Directors and Creative Strategists to inspire and lead the creative vision of accounts and projects at Saylor, as well as own hands-on creative for internal initiatives, brand and marketing campaigns. Cross-functionally, this role will specifically partner with the Strategy team to bring account strategiesto life through creative ideas and execution. Externally, you’ll be client facing, responsible for creatively leading client projects from concept to completion. Internally, you’ll be across teams at Saylor, from partnering withStrategy to inspiring Accounts, from working one-on-one with every member of the Creative Production team (Design/Editorial) on individual assets to upleveling the entire suite of assets with the Producers. At every step, you are ensuring that the creative ladders up to the strategy and brand voice through copy, design and overall execution. You bring ideas to the room, and can become an expert on any brand with enthusiasm. You know how to work with anyone, and how to create the best environment for generative ideas in a room full of diverse points of view and experiences. You lead with curiosity, confidence, and kindness over ego. You’re adept at navigating the intricacies of entertainment marketing, with a proven track record in assisting and at times guiding high-profile creative projects from conception to completion. You love a pitch deck! And you love talking with clients about their needs, offering exciting solutions that spark conversation and best-in-class creative. You may have been any of the following in your career: a well-rounded copywriter who always had kick-ass ideas, a creative strategist who deeply understood production, a creative producer who was always one step ahead with big ideas or some combination of it all! Location and Salary This is a full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $120,000-$147,000 depending on experience. We offer employees the flexibility to work from home Monday through Friday. We believe that allowing you to choose the environment where you work best will enhance your productivity and impact. There will be occasions when in-office presence, at either our Echo Park HQ or a client’s office, is required based on the needs of specific accounts. We will do our best to accommodate scheduling and still provide you with your “flex days.” Responsibilities: Set the creative direction and standards for projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and push creative boundaries. Bring a great conceptualized graphic and motion design creative for Saylor’s clients in collaboration with the Art Director/Editorial Director. Act as the senior creative liaison between the Creative department and key clients, articulating creative strategies to clients and ensuring their vision is met effectively, on time, and within budget. Foster long-term client relationships through consistent delivery of exceptional design work. Periodically step in as a high-level maker on projects, especially during the exploratory phase of establishing overall campaign visual languages. Lead campaign pitch deck creation; collaborate with ECD and Strategy to execute campaign-winning pitches. Work with Saylor’s Account and Strategy teams to help set, maintain, and execute the visual language for brands/campaigns. Review all creative before it reaches the internal partners and client. Qualifications: 4-6+ years of experience in an agency setting or in-house at a studio, with experience creating and leading marketing/branded content. Proven expertise in graphic design, motion design, and digital media, with a portfolio that showcases strong creative and narrative skills. High-level understanding of 360 campaign creative within entertainment marketing; social-forward aesthetic and storytelling thinking is a must. Incredible storytelling skills, with the ability to assist on pitches and sell the creative in the room to our clients. A honed and well-developed creative point of view, and the ability to identify strong ideas and executions. Finger on the pulse of creative culture across platforms. Have a deep bench of references from all different sources that could help inspire creative avenues. Ability to seamlessly bounce between projects of varying complexity. Effective time management skills and the ability to meet tight, high-volume deadlines. Honed ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
