Fourth Floor is hiring: Art Director, Fashion – Social & Editorial in New York

Our client, a popular fashion brand, is looking for a temp Fashion Art Director to join their team to focus on social & editorial concepts.

Responsibilities

1. Develop concepts for social channels - Map out seasonal concepts, shoot and design until final output.
2. Setting and maintaining elevated visual standards.
3. Continue to enhance the tone and aesthetics across social channels.
4. Collaborate with Creative & Marketing on all projects, including conceptual development, typography, layout, image retouching, and direction editorial still life imagery.
5. Contribute to the creative team’s library of inspiration references.
6. Collaborate with the retouching team to carry out cosmetic alterations and color accuracy for both on-figure and still imagery.
7. Administer all aspects of the design process to manage the workflow from initial design through production & pre-press stages.

Requirements

1. 4-6 years of studio experience.
2. BA or BFA preferred in Arts, Fine Arts, or Graphic Design.
3. Deep knowledge in on-figure site photography, motion, and studio creative.
4. Flexibility & Time Management: ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and take responsibilities for deadlines.
5. Demonstrated history of managing fast-paced environments.
6. Strong command of typography, layout, form, and color.
7. Proficiency with Adobe CC, HTML, CSS, Responsive web design.
8. Firm understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and image optimization techniques.
9. Operates with an elevated taste level and current industry-related trends.
10. Strong creative problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills.
11. Must have a portfolio with relevant work examples.
