Position: TS/SCI (CI Poly) Technical Editor

Location: Ft. Meade, MD (100% ONSITE)

Duration: Long Term Contract (Contract goes until July 2026)

MUST HAVES:

  1. Obtain and maintain a TS/SCI (will have to obtain CI Poly) | Bachelors & 8 Years OR Masters & 3+ Years (MUST HAVE A DEGREE)
  2. Extensive experience reviewing/editing technical intelligence documents

Senior Technical Editor Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
  2. Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
  3. Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
  4. Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
  5. Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
  6. Assists in the management of all J2 finished intelligence products approved for external dissemination.
  7. Researches and collects information from internal and external stakeholder subject matter experts as well as other sources.
  8. Analyzes, interprets, cross-checks and edits intelligence products, as required, to ensure accuracy and compliance with associated Intelligence Community guidance, to include but not limited to ICDs 206, 209, 501 and 710.
  9. Organizes information, determines the optimum method of presentation, and creates content according to plan.
  10. Ensures completed materials fulfill the specified purpose and scope.
  11. Assists in determining and supervising the production process for completed materials.
