The successful candidate should have experience working with the resources in the Firm's key practice areas:
Asset Management, Corporate/PE, Finance, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Private Clients & Tax.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work as part of the reference team, providing outstanding reference service via the collaborative Zendesk dashboard, providing support to all domestic and European offices.
- Promote our electronic alert/awareness tool, Manzama, to incoming attorneys, working with colleagues on constructing alerts for individual attorneys and departments.
- Participate in the evaluation and acquisition of new electronic resources with other team members.
- Share knowledge of specific resources with research team colleagues and provide guidance as needed.
- Content contributor to LibraryPortal and participant in testing knowledge tools/dashboards using expertise to improve functionality for firmwide end-users.
- Participate in onboarding/orientation in collaboration with The Training Coordinator and other team members.
- Promote library services to the attorneys.
- Work with colleagues to maintain the electronic LIBGUIDES onboarding tool.
- Contribute tips and best practices to the library staff.
- Participate in library meetings and trainings.
- Work on special administrative projects as assigned.
- Maintain membership in professional groups relevant to special and law librarianship, attending meetings, taking advantage of networking opportunities and keeping abreast of changes and developments in best training practices.
- Work with database vendors to ensure that vendor training tools are made available. Attend vendor trainings to monitor appropriateness and to offer suggestions to better tailor their programs to meet unique needs.
This position reports to the Director of Library Services and Associate Director of Library Services.
