Description:
Are you passionate about building meaningful connections and making a positive impact? As our Community Engagement Manager, you’ll be the face of our brand, driving awareness and goodwill by cultivating strong relationships with municipal leaders, community stakeholders, businesses, and residents while educating on the benefits of broadband technologies. This dynamic role is critical to driving revenue and growth for our organization while supporting advancing technologies for our communities and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development:
- Create and implement comprehensive community engagement plans, identifying key stakeholders, target audiences, and appropriate engagement methods to address community needs across all geographic markets inclusive of new markets.
- Operations Communication:
- Maintain close relationships with internal teams to understand timelines for new market construction across the Greenlight Networks expanding footprint.
- Communicate timelines to the Marketing Team on a weekly basis to ensure marketing activities that drive revenue are implemented in accordance with our service offerings.
- Community Events and Programs:
- Organize and manage community events, workshops, forums, and other initiatives to foster dialogue, raise awareness, and promote participation across all Greenlight Markets.
- Develop and implement community sponsorship programs.
- Public Relations:
- Identify public relations opportunities that will drive sign-ups and orders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media outlets.
- Secure media coverage for company news and events.
- Manage local media inquiries and requests.
- Draft press releases and other public relations materials.
- Crisis Management communication.
- Community Relations:
- Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and government agencies to leverage resources and create impactful community partnerships.
- Develop and implement programs to support local initiatives and non-profit organizations.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, conferences, and events, advocating for community priorities and concerns to relevant decision-makers.
- Manage a cadence of proactive communications to municipal leaders in all markets.
- Brand Advocacy:
- Promote the company's brand and values within the community.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Serve as a community ambassador for the company.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of PR and engagement efforts using KPIs.
- Provide regular reports on media coverage, event outcomes, and community sentiment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in community relations, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in event planning and execution.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Strong understanding of local community dynamics.
- Experience with email automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot, MailChimp, Salesforce).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry.
- Experience with social media marketing and community management.
Salary:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The annual salary for this role is between $73,000–$85,000. The actual annual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
