As a Brand Marketing Director at Novo, you will own and steward Novo’s overall brand, ensuring it stands out as the trusted partner for small businesses. You will lead the development and execution of brand strategies that resonate deeply with entrepreneurs, managing a team of channel marketers and creative professionals. By shaping the brand’s identity, marketing communications, and customer experience, you will help establish Novo as the go-to platform for small business growth and success. You will be responsible for:

Turn brand strategy into action: Translate brand strategy into channel level tactics. Shape Novo’s overall positioning, messaging, and creative framework, ensuring it aligns with the company’s mission and resonates with small business audiences. Leading Teams: Build, manage and inspire a team of channel marketers and creative professionals to deliver cohesive, high-impact campaigns and initiatives. Overseeing Creative Strategy: Manage internal and external creative teams to develop compelling content, campaigns, and materials that reflect Novo’s brand identity and purpose. Shaping the Channel Strategy: Own the overall channel strategy for marketing communications across digital advertising, social media, content, events, sponsorships and direct mail and email, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging and content. Enhancing the Customer Experience: Oversee the look and feel of Novo’s website, marketing communications, and customer management touchpoints to create a seamless and engaging experience. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use insights from customer research and performance metrics to optimize brand strategies and inform future initiatives. Driving Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, and other teams to ensure brand strategies align with business objectives and customer needs. Championing the Novo Brand: Act as the primary advocate for Novo’s brand, ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and design across all marketing touchpoints. Requirements for the Role:

10+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, or communications, with a proven track record of owning and building a brand. 4+ years in a leadership role, managing teams of strategists, marketers, and creative professionals. Expertise in developing and executing multi-channel brand strategies, including digital, social, direct mail and events. Understanding of small business or consumer financial service shopper behavior and ‘moments that matter.’ Proven ability to manage creative and strategic teams to deliver on-brand, high-quality marketing materials and campaigns. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and present to senior leadership. Highly organized and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred: Experience in fintech, banking or CPG, with a focus on consumer or small business marketing. How We Define Success:
