The Senior Marketing Asset & Delivery Systems Manager oversees features, functions, roadmaps, assets, and user profiles for various marketing platforms to enable marketing activation across various channels for Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing asset manager with advanced proficiency managing DAM systems, experience leading DAM system migrations, and the ability to continually drive efficiency within DAM systems.

The Senior Manager leads the organization through expertise in storage and archival of all marketing assets including final creative design files, photography, video digital, audio, and multimedia assets for Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh. This includes leading strategy for development and enhancements related to DAM framework, catalogs, nomenclature, metadata, usage rights, etc. The Senior Manager also orchestrates the delivery of marketing assets across various platforms used for distribution, printing, display, audio, and auditing assets. Day-to-day, this Team Member will perform as administrator of DAM platforms, including quality control and review of assets uploaded, training users as needed, and overseeing long-term strategic planning for DAM systems. The manager will be the liaison for Marketing, Technology, Ecommerce, Store, and Amazon partners who access the DAM and delivery systems. The Senior Marketing Asset Manager is a member of the Global Marketing team reporting to the Senior Team Leader, Creative Production & Marketing Business Operations. The Senior Manager will also oversee workload, prioritization, and mentorship for a Marketing Asset Manager, as well as partner with the Marketing Systems Manager supporting DAM. This position is based in Austin, TX, with the expectation to work five days a week from our downtown office. Responsibilities: Design and maintain the integrity of data architecture, naming convention, and metadata within the DAM and delivery systems. Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Packaging, Tech, UX/UI Design, Ecommerce, Learning & Development, Events, Store, and Amazon teams to understand and address the needs of all DAM users. Innovate, streamline, and manage DAM workflows by creating policies and processes to provide standardization, structure, and consistency in nomenclature and metadata requirements. Design and refine the DAM data schema to improve the user experience and searchability of assets. Streamline, manage, and audit user profiles, permissions, and accessibility with adherence to security policies. Audit assets and associated metadata for accuracy and completeness. Develop training materials, video tutorials, and educational sessions to foster software proficiency and DAM compliance. Collaborate with Contracts Manager to develop a process to review assets pending T&R/usage rights expiration and capture renewed usage rights in DAM. Assist Contracts Manager in researching asset usage inquiries. Drive team efficiency in production by creating a system that easily surfaces existing assets by search, avoiding the creation of duplicate or similar assets. Be familiar with the library of existing/recent creative assets to make recommendations as appropriate. Oversee expense planning and tracking including projecting annual budget needs, updating quarterly forecasts, and managing individual projects to approved estimates. Drive the overall vision and strategy for software quality, including troubleshooting platforms, documenting bugs, and suggesting feature improvements with external stakeholders. Lead strategic planning of DAM shared platforms, including prioritizing new features and enhancements. Lead and mentor Digital Asset Manager to continual growth and provide opportunities to lead. Manage partners and potentially contractors, interns to success. Qualifications: Desired degree in Library Science, Information Science, or related field. Required 5+ years’ professional experience in maintaining a DAM system, ideally for an Ecommerce retailer for creative assets across various media types. Desired experience integrating DAM system with other delivery or distribution platforms (Ecommerce, POS, display systems, ordering systems, etc.). Advanced knowledge and administrator-level experience with Cumulus, Bynder, NetX, or other DAM system. Experience with marketing/advertising assets desired and knowledge of various file types (JPEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF, EPS, AI, INDD, PSD, PDF, MOV, HTML, etc.). Understanding of key asset specifications and requirements to fulfill marketing channel activations including online digital, social, email, TV/video, etc. Knowledge of rights management considerations in terms of time, territory, channel, etc. Experience collaborating with Technology partners in DAM maintenance and feature enhancements. Ability to translate complex framework and extensive metadata to a simplified overview for DAM users. Comfort in leading internal and external stakeholders to gain consensus and clarity. Experience crafting business cases and in technical writing, documentation. Experience leading 3rd parties through clear strategy, goals, deliverables, and timeline management. Creative vision for broader goals, paired with a passion for organization and details. Comfort working under accelerated timelines and multitasking to manage various projects. Ability to communicate detailed information in a clear, organized manner. Proficiency in Microsoft suite, advanced Excel skills; experience in creating presentation decks.
