UX Researcher (Mixed Methods) Pay: Up to $92.20/hour DOE Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision and more Location Strong preference for candidates located in Seattle. Secondary location preference: New York, San Diego, or the Bay Area. Exceptionally strong candidates outside these areas will be considered. Description This role is for Senior Mixed-Methods Researcher to help inform and influence AIML-powered technology and user experiences. An ideal candidate is experienced in conducting human-centered research and analysis with mixed methods, is able to work autonomously and collaboratively, and has experience working with cross-functional teams. In this role you will: Work closely with engineers, PMs, designers, and data scientists to align on research goals, develop appropriate study designs, and complete in-person and remote user studies. Extract insights about usability, user experience, and user sentiment from qualitative and quantitative data, and recommend improvements. Work autonomously and mentor other researchers to support the goals of the research organization. Minimum Qualifications 4 years of experience in human-centered research: designing and conducting user studies, analyzing study data, and sharing results (reports, presentations, etc.) Comfortable analyzing qualitative and quantitative data Able to produce meaningful visualizations and reports of the data, and effectively present results to different audiences and across multiple media formats Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimal direction Organized, highly attentive to detail, and manages time well Experience working in industry Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in human factors, human-computer interaction, social or behavioral science, data analytics, or any engineering or computer science field Proficiency with qualitative research methods (e.g. interviews, thematic analysis, observational research, etc.) Proficiency in any data analysis and visualization software, and/or programming languages for data analysis (e.g. Matlab, JMP, SPSS, Python, R, Tableau, etc.) Experience using spreadsheet and presentation software (e.g. Numbers, Excel, Keynote, Adobe Illustrator, etc.) Solid understanding of statistics Prior research experience on artificial intelligence or machine learning Prior research experience on improving personalized user experiences
