Job Description Summary:
Effectively develop, implement, and manage all public relations efforts, communications and events. This role leads all sponsorships, charitable efforts, partnerships and activations. It also includes select internal employee communications and consumer facing messaging. This position will work closely with the CEO and leadership.
The pay range for this position is expected to be $130k-$140k annually however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own, lead, strategize, plan, develop and implement all public relations efforts, corporate (internal and external) communications and brand events.
- Develop and manage all communications related to product launches, store openings, activations, press releases, coverage tracking, crisis communications, and media outreach.
- Lead strategy and execution of yearly PR and Communications brainstorming, planning and execution.
- Research and identify partnership, sponsorship, and event opportunities.
- Lead, manage, and execute VIP gifting program to media, influencers, and celebrities during key moments.
- Partner on management of influencers and partnerships including evaluation of any outreach and opportunities.
- Own Grand Opening events and partner closely with shop team as well as other departments to establish promotions, collateral, event activities, invitations and attendees. Staff all events to ensure smooth execution in accordance with the Run of Show.
- Build brand awareness through event marketing with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
1. Ownership of all marketing events
2. Research and identify event marketing opportunities to ensure they are on brand, create awareness, increase demand and drive revenue
3. Attend all events for on-site management
4. Plan, organize, and manage event logistics
5. Determine appropriate collateral, promotions, and staffing for each event
6. Monitor and measure the success of each event and evaluate results against organizational goals
- Manage all aspects of Public Relations efforts including pitching to publications, media response efforts, factory tours, and interviews.
- Work closely with CEO on communications, interviews and events including but the annual Berkshire Shareholder Meeting.
- Collaborate with retail, wholesale, shop operations, production, shipping and ecommerce to assist with all programming, activations and/or partnerships.
- Partner with Human Resources (HR) for bi-yearly Town Halls, annual Service/Recognition Awards, employee gifting and other opportunities throughout the year.
- Manage external and support internal corporate communications including newsletters, memos and employee/company updates as needed.
- Report on key performance indicators.
- Monitor of all media coverage and summarize into weekly and monthly reporting.
- Protect and manage the See's Brand at all times.
- Perform special projects as assigned by management.
- Directly manages Public Relations and Communications Manager.
- This position is responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Seven to ten years of public relations (agency experience preferred), communications and event experience with a multi-channel retailer, preferably with annual sales in excess of $500M.
- Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented mind-set, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Self-starter who takes initiative with strong planning and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing and negotiating with partners/vendors.
- Proven ability to run successful campaigns with little supervision.
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experienced in working with technology and monitoring programs such as Cision or Muck Rack.
- Experience and knowledge in working with social media platforms.
