This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for digital media planning and buying who are eager to advance their careers. As a vital player, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, procurement, execution, and oversight of digital media channels included in approved media initiatives. You will take the lead in developing tailored tactical media strategies and budgets aligned with client goals.
We are looking for candidates with robust experience in digital media planning and buying, specifically in social media, programmatic display, video, and direct publisher media. Familiarity with in-platform operations is highly desirable, and a comprehensive understanding of the rapidly evolving media landscape is essential. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency in media measurement and creatively interpret data to surpass client expectations.
In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison for key media vendors, proactively discovering innovative solutions to elevate tactical plans and buying methods. Coordination of meetings, webinars, and introductions within the activation team will also be part of your responsibilities. You will also contribute to refining processes, ensuring efficiencies while adhering to established workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Strategy/Tactics: Engage in digital media planning/buying discussions for assigned clients; develop and execute tactical media plans for various channels in collaboration with the activation team.
- Measurement and Delivery: Grasp measurement frameworks and effectively apply them in media evaluations and campaign setups.
- Research: Analyze data to determine the best tactics for media vehicles across various channels, and prepare agency Point of Views (POVs) for internal or client communications.
- Negotiations: Secure the best possible rates for media placements while ensuring added value for clients.
- Software and Systems: Liaise with relevant teams for troubleshooting software issues.
- Vendor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong vendor partnerships while exploring innovative opportunities.
- Expertise: Act as a resource for True Media tools and processes, offering training and mentorship to colleagues.
Qualifications: To excel in this position, you should meet the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in media planning and/or buying, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of media fundamentals, including media math, reach, frequency, and analytics.
- Excellent communication skills for discussing tactical strategies and campaign requirements.
- Aptitude for analyzing campaign metrics and providing actionable insights to clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills, fostering positive relationships with vendors to secure competitive media rates.
- Must obtain Google Analytics Individual Qualification and Google Ads certifications within 6 months of employment, with annual renewals.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
