RRMM is searching for an interior designer that will play an integral rose in our continued growth through the Mid-Atlantic. This position is based out of our headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginis with the opportunity to work from home two days a week once fully trained and approved by the supervisor. This position will require assisting in design and completing the interior design requirements for projects – starting with design concepts followed by construction documents and construction administration.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide programming, space planning and spatial layouts
  • Create original design concepts, including finish materials, and presentation boards.
  • Coordinate with consultants including architectural, lighting, MEP, etc.
  • Develop full interior drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, RCP, millwork, details & specific schedules.
  • Develop FF&E packages
  • Ensure continuity and consistency of design deliverables, meet project schedules, budgets and deadlines.
  • Review and check all work for design, accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage and work effectively within a collaborative team environment on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in interior design or interior architecture.
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience with experience designing interior projects for the healthcare, state/DEB, municipal and/or education.
    • Knowledge of custom millwork construction.
    • Knowledge of construction materials, details, standards and building codes.
    • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
    • REVIT
