Web UI/UX Designer Job at US Tech Solutions in Juno Beach

Duration: 6 months contract

Description:

The IT Web Developer Practitioner’s role is to build the operations end of the organization’s Web sites and keep them running smoothly. This includes designing, building, and implementing new Web pages and sites; integrating sites with back end applications; migrating legacy applications to the Web; and performing day-to-day administration of the organization’s Web portfolio. Use of a variety of Web development languages is required. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills; Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers; Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures; Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Responsibilities:

· Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that clearly illustrate the functionality and look of the product.

· Organize and conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve design iterations.

· Design aesthetically pleasing and intuitive interfaces that facilitate excellent user experiences.

· Ensure designs are consistent with brand guidelines and design systems.

· Create and manage design assets including icons, buttons, and other UI elements.

· Collaborate with developers to ensure the implementation of the design is true to the vision.

· Translate complex concepts into simple and intuitive user experiences.

Collaboration:

· Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business and technical requirements.

· Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers.

· Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the team and the broader organization.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions

· Ability to present and explain design solutions to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

· Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.

· Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes and efficiency.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.

· Proven experience (3+ years) in UX and UI design, preferably with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

· Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar. (Figma preferred)

· Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

· Experience with user research methods, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

· Ability to create high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.

· Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual consistency.

· Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Experience with Design Systems

· Familiar with Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in the energy or technology sectors is a plus.

· Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to communicate effectively with developers.

· Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.

Required Education

· Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.
