SD Solutions is seeking an Intermediate UX Researcher to join our dynamic team at ARPA-H. This role will be pivotal in guiding user experience research initiatives that enhance our digital platforms and services. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of qualitative and quantitative research skills and will be responsible for overseeing research techniques and methodologies that align with ARPA-H web goals.
Responsibilities Include
- Lead and conduct user-centered research activities, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and field studies.
- Develop comprehensive research plans that utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to assess user needs and behaviors.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, drawing insights to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Analyze data and compile findings to support decision-making processes and provide recommendations for action.
- Synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations for product teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, engineers) to define user experience goals and ensure research alignment with project objectives.
- Present research findings to stakeholders, articulating implications for product development and user experience enhancements.
- Serve as the voice of the user within the organization, advocating for user-centric design principles and practices.
- Assist in creating personas, journey maps, and other artifacts that represent user segments and behaviors.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices in research methodologies and techniques across projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies related to UX research to continually enhance the effectiveness of research strategies.
- Provide mentorship to junior UX researchers, fostering their development through knowledge sharing and guidance on best practices in UX research.
Requirements Overview
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, Social Sciences, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of10 years of experience in a federal government project management, research, or policy development within the health sector, preferably in a government or research environment.
- Prefer at least 1 year experience supporting DARPA or related Federal "ARPA" agencies (IARPA, ARPA-E, ARPA-H, HSARPA).
- Alternate preferable experience at NIH, CDC, FDA, Public Health Service, NSF, USDA, State Health Department, or Local Health Department.
