Join our team at The Dagny Boston, a landmark Art Deco hotel in downtown Boston, as a part-time Marketing Coordinator with a social media focus. You will support our marketing efforts by social media campaigns, engaging with our online community, and analyzing digital metrics to enhance our brand presence and audience engagement with our Marketing Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or in progress) preferred.
Proven experience in social media management and basic graphic design.
Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices (Tik Tok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of Meta Business Suite and editorial content calendars, or aptitude to learn.
Creative and analytical mindset with the ability to produce engaging content and assist in interpreting performance data.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media management tools (Sprout, CapCut, etc)
Prior experience with Canva graphic design.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of brand kits and guidelines for content creation.
Interest in the hospitality industry and a commitment to enhancing guest experiences through social media marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in developing and executing social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement for The Dagny Boston (stories, flat posts, collab posts, etc)
Manage daily content across various social media platforms including planning, scheduling, and posting via Sprout Social.
Promote hotel activations, offers, and packages via social media posting through direction from the Marketing Team.
Monitor and interact with online communities, responding to inquiries, comments, and reviews promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with the marketing manager and area director of Sales & Marketing and external agencies to promote compelling campaigns that align with broader marketing objectives.
Assist the Marketing Manager in tracking and reporting on social media performance, using insights to optimize future campaigns.
Stay informed on new social media trends and technologies to continuously improve our strategy.
Support promotional activities, contests, and partnerships to engage current followers and attract new guests.
Create and capture social media imagery, including copywriting and graphic and video editing to be reviewed regularly with the social media manager.
Assist in fielding influencer requests, and influencer/PR planning.
Work with the Marketing Manager on other marketing initiatives on a need-basis.
Assist with social media partnerships and influencer collaborations.
