Job Title: Associate Designer Position Overview: The Associate Designer will contribute to the creative development and execution of brand-focused designs, ensuring alignment with seasonal campaigns and the brand’s aesthetic. This role involves a mix of concept creation, design execution, collaboration, and trend analysis, with a focus on maintaining high-quality and production-ready designs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Concept Development Review mood boards, sketches, and design concepts to reflect the brand's identity. Design with a focus on seasonal campaigns and the brand’s aesthetic. 2. Design Execution Create original graphics, seamless patterns, and apparel/accessory designs using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD. Design core brand staples such as T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, jackets, sneakers, and hats. Manage SKU plans, ensuring alignment with sales and business needs. Oversee the development calendar to deliver samples on time. Develop detailed tech packs and collaborate with production partners (domestic and overseas). Update production/development WIP with changes as needed. 3. Collaboration Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality and pricing standards. Partner with marketing teams to create promotional materials and ensure cohesive visual campaigns. Collaborate with social media and branding teams for consistency across all platforms. 4. Trend Forecasting Stay informed about trends in fashion, pop culture, art, and music relevant to streetwear. Attend trade shows, fashion events, and cultural exhibitions for inspiration. Monitor competitors and analyze market trends to maintain a competitive edge. 5. Prototyping and Feedback Assist in sample production oversight, reviewing prototypes for fit, fabric, and functionality. Gather feedback from internal teams and adjust designs accordingly. Ensure final designs meet brand guidelines and production timelines. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in apparel graphic design. Degree in fashion design (preferred). Experience in multiple categories, including women’s contemporary apparel and accessories. Strong organizational and communication skills. Understanding of the seasonal development process, including SKU planning, assorting, and merchandising. Self-starter with the ability to multitask and pivot to meet deadlines.
