We are currently seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern responsible for assisting our Social Media Manager with social media strategy, content creation, content scheduling, community engagement, copywriting, and video editing. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with social media marketing while contributing to growing our brand and online presence. As part of the internship, the intern will have ownership of The Intern Project in which they are responsible for developing, presenting and implementing a social media strategy to grow Quicksilver Scientific's LinkedIn channel. This project will include presentations to the greater marketing team and our Executive Leadership Team.

Essential Functions:

• Assist the Social Media Manager with development of Quicksilver's Social Media Content Strategy along with creative content for each platform.
• Responsible for tracking social media analytics across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook).
• Present a weekly analytics report to the Social Media Manager to identify high-performing posts and opportunities for growth.
• Leadership of Intern Project: Developing, presenting, and implementing a social media strategy and curation of high-quality content to grow Quicksilver Scientific's LinkedIn channel
• Schedule pre-approved content across all social media platforms via Sprout Social.
• Support brand engagement, by responding to comments, messages, and questions across all social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with photo/video content shoots.
• Assist with video editing (cutting video, adding captions, adjusting lighting/sound).
• Assist with writing captions for pre-approved social media posts.
• Shadow other members of the marketing team, providing support as required.

Competencies:

• Strong passion for the health and wellness industry
• Self-driven and motivated with strong initiative - will be a self-starter, able to work both with and without direction, and have strong judgement skills for on-the-fly decision making
• Loves social media! With a strong understanding of major social media platforms
• Creative!!! Graphic design experience a plus
• Strong interest and experience in content creation and videography
• Strong creative copy-writer skills
• Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of analytics and processing figures with spreadsheets
• Passionate about social media and stays current on industry trends.

Required Education and Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or related field
• Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Illustrator/InDesign, Photoshop)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, well-organized and deadline oriented
• Effective problem-solving techniques
• Must interact effectively with all levels of employees and external contacts

Timing: This internship will run from early February through end of May with the opportunity to extend through the summer

Hours: 15-20 per week

Pay: $18-$20 per hour

Location: Onsite at our Louisville, CO office
