Greenberg Traurig, global law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity in the Marketing Department for a Marketing Specialist in our Tallahassee office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.Position Summary:The Marketing Specialist will support the Tallahassee office in a variety of marketing, business development and communications initiatives focused on elevating the firm's brand in the Tallahassee market. The role will work directly with the office leadership while working collaboratively with, and as an integral part of, the firm's marketing and business development team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Tallahassee business market, key media outlets, and community organizations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelops relationships with Tallahassee attorneys to serve as point of contact for day-to-day requests and marketing, communications, and business development needs and understand the local practices, office initiatives and representations of key clientsAssists attorneys in penetrating community, industry or legal organizations in which the attorneys have an interest and desire to become involvedDevelops relationships with attorneys and helps them to identify media opportunitiesWorks with the firmwide marketing team as it relates to client-facing and internal marketing materials for the Tallahassee office including writing, editing, and distributing marketing materials, newsletters, press releases, biographies, seminar materials, client updates, website content, and other client communicationsResearches, drafts, and edits award nominations and directories, as well as maintaining a calendar of upcoming submissionsMakes recommendations for and supports office sponsorships, memberships and event attendance at client and community events in order to increase the visibility and influence of the firm in the local market. May include ad or program development and/or client outreach for participation or attendance at sponsored eventsPrepares pitches and RFPs, including conducting/analyzing market research and analysis on prospect companies and business sectors, in coordination with practice and office professionalsPlans, organizes, and hosts client events. Manages all aspects of events including concept and agenda development with attorneys, contracting, and coordinating all setup details with the facilities, arranging for catering, creating mailing lists specific to the event topic, drafting invitation language, sending and tracking invitations and RSVPs, etc. Evaluates return on investment before and after each event and closely manage budgetProvides social media support, including drafting targeted posts and assistant with attorney trainingsCoordinates the flow of information from attorneys to marketing professionalsPrepares welcome materials for new attorneysWorks with the Marketing Director to ensure content on website, biographies and Qorus is current and updated as appropriateAssists with and manages a variety of short and long-term projects and attorney requestsSkills & CompetenciesA self-starter and team player, able to accept direction, yet work independentlyExcellent prioritization and time management skillsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environmentStrong client-first work ethicRemain calm in the face of pressureAbility to effectively interface with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clientsStrong attention to detailQualifications & Prior ExperienceBachelor's degree is requiredMinimum of four years' experience in marketing or business developmentHigh level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Experience at a law firm or professional services firm is preferredGreenberg Traurig is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
