Job Type Unclassified Department Board of Supervisors Dist 2 About the Position The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, District 2, is seeking a diligent, deliberative, and detail-oriented candidate with strong writing and creative skills to generate and write effective talking points, statements, and PowerPoint presentations. In this position, you will generate content for community news publications on a monthly or quarterly basis. You will also monitor media outlets and curate content for a daily news digest.
This position requires attendance and participation representing the district at weekend events, as needed.

About Us Chairman Thomas Galvin represents District 2 on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. His top priority is protecting the Maricopa County taxpayer by being a fiscally responsible steward of the County's financial resources. As a Supervisor, his issues of interest include public safety, economic development, housing, water, and infrastructure. Thomas was re-elected to the Board of Supervisors in November 2024.
District 2 encompasses the East Valley municipalities of Scottsdale, Mesa, Carefree, Fountain Hills, and parts of Phoenix, Apache Junction, and Tempe.

We Require Familiarity with social media platforms, ability to create communication-effective content Ability to take good photos at events and appearances Create social media posts as part of a social media strategy Ability to effectively communicate with constituents and efficiently address and respond to constituent issues Willingness to organize community coffee meetings within the district every quarter to solicit constituent feedback Willingness to attend and represent the district at weekend events as needed High school diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
